Turismo de Alcalá de Guadaíra

Since January 1, 2002, Euros, the legal currency of the Economic European Community, are used in Spain.

An Euro has 100 cents; there are coins of 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents and of 1 and 2 Euros, as well as notes of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Euros.

It is possible in any bank to ask for currency exchange, although you can find also exchange offices at determined tourist zones, airports, stations, etc, as well as most tourist establishments.

Most Alcalá's hotels, restaurants and commerce establishments accept the main credit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, 4B...), being this signed with posters at the entrance of the establishments. Traveller's checks, together with the passport, are also accepted in great part of the tourist establishments of our town.

We remark here that some establishments (restaurants, shops...) do not accept payments made 100, 200 and 500 Euros notes.
