Alcalá receives at the Hotel Legado Oromana the visit of the AVASA Travel Group Fam Trip

The Fam Trip is carried out in collaboration with Prodetur, Turismo Andaluz and the Sevilla Congress and Convention Bureau.

Alcalá has hosted a fam trip of the Avasa Travel Group, organized by Prodetur and in collaboration with Turismo Andaluz and the Sevilla Congress and Convention Bureau, within the framework of the AVASA MICE event. Specifically, the visit was organized at the Hotel Legado Oromana, where the group of tourism entrepreneurs was received for lunch at its restaurant.

This business group has 170 associated travel agencies and close to 250 points of sale. This fam trip was attended by 25 executives of the firm, who came to Alcalá to see the cultural and heritage riches offered by the city and held a meeting with the delegate of Tourism of the City of Alcalá de Guadaíra, Christopher Rivas. During the meeting, the group was able to enjoy the ‘Flavors of the Province of Seville’, a brand of the promotion of local gastronomy promoted by Prodetur.

During his speech, the delegate explained the rich heritage, culture and identity of Alcalá, just a few minutes from Seville, while pointing out the city’s opportunities in the field of events and congresses. Christopher Rivas gave as an example the Riberas del Guadaíra auditorium theater, with 1,000 seats and spacious conference and meeting rooms.

Rivas explained that Alcalá is becoming more and more important as a tourist destination in Andalusia. “Not only its location, close to the capital, makes it attractive. The heritage assets, which give the city an identity of its own, characteristic and of great interest, are added to the events and traditions that Alcalá itself has been building, hosting spaces for its development, such as the Riberas del Guadaíra Auditorium, the Gutiérrez de Alba Theater or the San Miguel Center,” he said.

Likewise, the castle is perhaps Alcalá’s most striking heritage bastion. One of the largest fortified enclosures in Andalusia, dating from before the 15th century, which can be seen from the inside, presides over a city crossed by a Natural Monument of 14 kilometers of riverbanks, which awakens more and more interest in tourism, heritage, culture and nature.
