INFORMATION ABOUT TIMETABLES

Alcalá de Guadaíra uses CET (Central European Time, i.e., UTC + 1) and CEST (Central European Summer Time, i.e., UTC + 2) between 1:00 UTC on the last Sunday of March and 1:00 on the last Sunday of October.

Meal times are often a little later than in the rest of Europe: Breakfast, of a very similar style of the continental one, is had between 08.00 and 10.30 a.m. Lunch is the main meal and is served between 13.00 and 15.30, and you can have supper since 20.30 until 23.00. In any case, most tourist establishments adapt their timetables to standard European and in practice, it is common that cafés and bars have continuous service, being possible to have tapas, platos combinados (meals served in one dish), sandwiches and portions at any time of the day.

Commercial timetable is from 10.00 to 14.00 hours and from 17.00 to 20.00-21,00 hours. Department stores have uninterrupted opening time from 10.00 to 21.00-22.00 hours. Shopping centres open on Saturdays in the morning and in the afternoon/early evening, as well as some Sundays and holidays. We have to highlight that pubs, drinking bars and discos often remain open until 03.00 or 04.00 a.m. during the weekends.

Chemists'

Chemists' are open during commercial timetable and it is possible to find duty chemists to serve you at any time of the evening in different points of the locality out of the commercial timetable. Lists with their names are displayed at the doors of all the chemists' of the town.

Museums and Monuments

Museums and monuments have often uninterrupted timetables during daytime and generally remain open on Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays.

Post Office

Post Head Offices have usually uninterrupted timetable from Monday to Friday, from 08.30 to 20.30 hours and on Saturdays from 09.30 to 14.00 hours, being closed on Sundays and holidays. Stamps can also be bought at tobacconists' shops (in Spanish, estancos).

Banks

Most of the banks are open from Monday to Friday, from 08.30 to 14.30 hours. Only some branches from some banks open on Saturday mornings. You will find all over our town cash dispensers available 24 hours, most of them (Servired, 4B, etc...) provided for international services.

Public Entities

Usually public organizations (Consulates, Embassies, Town Councils, etc.) have opening hours from 08.30-09.00 until 14.00-15.00 on working days (From Monday to Friday).
